Artistic Grant Award

I received a Grant was in 2011 for The El Paso Piñata Extravaganza which was done in collaboration with the photographer, Matt Scullin. It was a project that fulfilled me to the fullest as an artist and helped me tremendously to grow as an artist. This Multi- Visual Exhibition consisted of different disciplines of art: Paintings, An installation at the venue, photography, and video.

El Paso Pinata Extravaganza was a multi-faced program that celebrated an integral but underappreciated aspect of El Paso’s artistic cultural life. That means the pinatas, the people who make the pinatas, the locations where they are made, and how they are used in El Paso events.
