“Women’s Month Celebration”
Honored Artist L.B. McKay
This was an outstanding exhibition featuring three of El Paso ’s excellent women artists. “Phases” by Honored artist Lety McKay depicted her tantalizing, emotionally dark but painterly description of how women locally and globally are brutalized, murdered or denied basic rights. Dee Johnson presented her colorful Work “In Retrospect” while Wendi Glick had a superb art display named “Domestic Standpoint.”
This exhibition was also featured in the El Paso Times and mentioned in the Border Art Dialogue of March 2009.
