L.B. Mckay was born in Chihuahua, Mexico. Now she lives  and works in El Paso, Texas. The artist obtained her BFA at The University of Texas at El Paso. Mckay works mostly with the figure at this moment in which the artist depicts her own philosophy besides investigation of a subject matter to evoke serious thought provoking in her work.Trhoughout the painting process she hopes to find answers too many of the social, political and religious issues that she questions.  Mckay is preparing original artwork to tour on solo and collective exhibits in the United States.
